Telegram questions
How does Posto connect to my channel?
Through the Posto bot. Make it an administrator of the channel with the right to post, then give Posto the channel’s @username or numeric id. Posto never signs in as you, and removing the bot ends its access.
Can I post to a Telegram group?
No, Posto publishes to channels, public or private. A group linked to the channel as its discussion group is where Posto posts the first comment and reads the comments.
Which statistics does Posto show for a channel?
Subscribers over time, reactions per post, poll votes and clicks on short links. Telegram gives bots no views of a channel’s own posts; views are shown for the public channels you track.
Can I pin a post or take it down from Posto?
Yes, when the bot may edit and delete messages, and a post can also be removed by itself after a set time. If Telegram refuses to delete an older message, Posto asks you to delete it in Telegram.
Do formatting and link buttons work?
Yes: bold, italic, strikethrough, spoilers and text links in the text, and link buttons under a post with text, a photo or a video. Telegram takes no buttons under an album.
Can I write a post from my phone?
Yes. Link your Telegram in your Posto profile and send the bot a text, a photo or an album: each becomes one draft. New comments come to the same chat as cards you can answer.
