Instagram questions
Do I need a Business account or a Facebook Page?
You need an Instagram Business or Creator account. Publishing needs no Facebook Page: Posto signs in with Instagram itself. A Page is only needed to like comments, to see mentions in the captions of other people’s posts and to compare with other accounts.
Can I schedule Stories and Reels?
Yes. Pick Post, Reels or Story for each post. A story takes one photo or one video; Instagram’s API takes no text with it, and the composer tells you so.
Can Posto post the first comment for me?
Yes. Write it in the composer, and Posto adds it right after the post is published.
Can I delete a published post from Posto?
No. Instagram’s API has no call to delete a post, so the queue tells you to delete it in Instagram.
Are links in a caption clickable?
No, Instagram does not make them clickable. Posto leaves addresses as they are and warns you in the composer.
Can I answer comments and DMs from Posto?
Yes: comments of every post in one list, Direct messages in one inbox, and a private reply to a commenter.
